MERL Update Available - 2026.3
An update to MERL 2026.3 is now available for download. The update and the complete list of changes for MERL 2026.3 are available at MERL Downloads and via Check for Updates from the MERL Tools Menu.
Along with minor bug fixes and enhancements, changes in this release include:

- General:
- NOTE: Windows 10 is no longer supported by Microsoft. This version will NOT install on Windows 10. Windows 11 or newer is required.
- SQL 2014 is no longer supported. MERL will no longer allow login to a SQL 2014 database. DO NOT UPDATE to this version if your SQL Instance is 2014 or older.
- Added support for SQL Server 2025.
- Program updates and Lookup updates now use Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Average Unit Prices:
- Updated Average Unit Price data for 2020 Spec Year (including 1/1/2023 through 12/31/2025).
- Pay Item Codes:
- Updated the 2020 Pay Item Codes list (as of 12/19/2025).
- Vendors:
- Updated MDOT Approved Vendor List as of 3/5/2026.
